Designed and Manufactured Tooth
Coloured Restorations
Conservative,
non-metallic, biocompatible, restorations constructed of a
natural-looking ceramic material in a single treatment session,
without impressions or temporary crowns/fillings.
At
a time of increasingly greater exposure to hazardous agents,
biocompatibility is of growing interest for dentists and patients.
Ceramics have long been accepted as biocompatible materials
and meet the patients wishes for metal-free restorations.
There is no incompatibility with metal restorations elsewhere
in the mouth, and the aesthetic result fulfills modern expectations.
Philip
Pettemerides has
recently invested in the CEREC computer generated ceramic
restorations technology and is currently the only dentist
in the Bath area to utilise this advanced system. This
produces state of the art natural looking
ceramic fillings and crowns in one visit without the need
for impressions and temporary fillings.
Philip
also wants the very best for his patients and so is now able
to offer tooth restorations using state of the art digital
technology to manufacture restorations in the treatment
room.
Philip
aims to conserve as much of the natural tooth tissue as possible
and to deploy durable, biocompatible materials and he sets
great store by reliable, clinically tested methods.
The
CEREC concept provides the ideal solution for restoring teeth
and fulfils all these requirements. CEREC restorations have
proved themselves in practice for more than a decade and their
long-term durability has been borne out by scientific follow-up
studies of around 1,000 individual cases.
CEREC
fulfils the growing demands of our patients:
No metal materials
Defect-oriented restorations that conserve the natural teeth
Natural-looking, aesthetically pleasing ceramic material
Complete treatment in a single session
No unpleasant impressions
No temporary fillings, crowns, etc.
Clinically tested, long-lasting restorations
Fascinating treatment process (watch your own restoration
being made)
In
terms of its technical properties CEREC comes closest to natural
dental enamel. This means that these ceramic materials cause
no more wear on the opposing teeth and on each other than
natural tooth enamel, unlike many standard porcelain or metal/porcelain
crowns.
