Whitening
If
you're not happy with the colour of your teeth it's now possible
to lighten them by bleaching, so that your smile becomes more
appealing and something to be proud of.
We
have whitening gels available, which can be used at home in
a custom made tray, which will whiten your teeth over a period
of one to two weeks. These trays are thin and comfortable
to wear and are most effective if worn overnight. The gel
whitens natural tooth enamel but does not bleach artificial
crowns or fillings. The teeth that bleach most easily and
effectively are those that are yellow or brown. The gel doesn't
harm or weaken tooth enamel and the effect is relatively permanent
with a 'top up' needed every one or two years.
Britesmile
We
can also whiten teeth in the surgery using a power bleaching
system – Britesmile. We have now successfully improved
the smiles of many of our patients – this is an amazing
treatment. Treatment takes an hour and a half. You can even
watch your favourite DVD or video on video goggles or chairside
LCD screens. |
